This 5280 Opera features a deep-etched, rose gold plated metal body offset with a blue ebonite bottom, top and grip section.
Ebonite is an incredibly unique material and has been used for many decades in pen making along with many other types of manufacturing.  Ebonite is produced through a vulcanization process similar to the production of rubber and creates an almost wood-grain like appearance.  Just be careful where you store this pen as direct sunlight can cause ebonite to fade slightly over time.
The roller ball comes with a black Schmidt 888 refill.
