Description
Sheaffer made various models of its Imperial line. This one was introduced in 1961, Sheaffer's Imperial IV Blue GT. The pen, which shows no signs of use, has a blue plastic cap and barrel .The cap has a 3/8" gold filled band and clip. The 14K gold inlaid nib is a MEDIUM. The Imperial IV uses the touchdown filling system, drawing ink from the bottle on the downstroke. Here I will mention that this was designated as Model 1350TD, in case you like to know such things. I can put this pen in the original box, which is worn and somewhat discolored, or in the red Sheaffer box shown. Let me know if you want the original box. It looks very nice, not at all like a pen that's at least 50 years old. New old stock pens like this can be returned as long as you don't put ink in them.
