Please note
:  This is a Repair Service for your existing malfunctioning amp plate.  You send us your malfunctioning amp plate and we repair it and send it back to you.  It is
not
the outright purchase of a new or used replacement amp plate.  You will receive back the same amp plate that you send us, only repaired and updated and functioning as new.  Please read this description in its entirety before purchasing.
This a flat rate repair service for the JBL JRX 118SP
powered subwoofer amplifier plate.  This is a great subwoofer, but sooner or later the subwoofer plate fails.  ElectroNetix has repaired many of them, and will get yours working quickly.
Simply do a "Buy It Now" and once we receive your payment, we will respond by sending you detailed removal and shipping instructions and an address to ship your malfunctioning amp plate (in
Chicago
area).
We will repair it, update it, correct several design flaws that may have led to its failure, test it to factory specs, and ship it back to you, with turn around of 5 business days or less (exclusive of shipping).  With shipping time included, you should have it back in less than 10 days. Our service comes with a 60 day warranty.
Our charge is flat rate and includes all parts and labor to repair normal electrical failure with one exception.  If the two large power supply filter capacitors need replacing, or if you simply want them replaced as a preventative measure even though they may not be bad, there is an extra charge of which basically covers the cost of the parts.  Failure of the power supply filter capacitors on this unit is not a frequent occurrence, and we do not recommend changing them unless they are bulging on top.  We end up replacing the power supply filter capacitors on less than 10% of the units that are sent to us for repair.
One of the primary failure modes of this amp can sometimes cause significant burning of the main circuit board.  Small burn areas can be repaired, but very large burn areas on the main circuit board may render the unit non-repairable.  Before sending us the unit you will need to check for this, and we will advise you how to do it, and send us photos if necessary.
Note that you will pay for shipping the amp plate to us..  The shipping charges as stated above are the return shipping charges to send the unit back to you.  You ship only the amp plate, not the entire subwoofer. We will provide you with instructions on how to remove the amp plate and the best methods for shipment.  This repair service at the advertised cost is for continental US customers only.  We will gladly service other customers, but please request a quote due to the higher cost of return shipping.
