Remarkable Antique TRAVEL APOTHECARY Medicine Bottle Brass Carrier

Description

This is truly a unique antique glass traveling medicine bottle. The glass itself is in very good condition and the round stopper is ground. What makes this so unusual is it has a brass carrying container that prevents the contents of the bottle from spilling.
The bottle fits snuggly into the brass holder. The brass lid fits onto the bottle but does not seal it until the three semi-circle cut outs on the brass lid and the three knobs on the brass container are aligned. The brass lid is pushed down which lowers the glass bottle into the container. The brass lid is then turned and the entire contents is secure. This was confusing to explain, however I tried to show in the photos the parts that make this item work. I
There are two minor dents in the brass knob and very minor flea bites on the rim of the glass stopper. Otherwise in excellent condition.
